Marquis Spas
Passive Heat Gain / Inadequate Ventilation
Spa frequently overheats on sunny days, even with a normal set temperature.

Possible Causes
Long filtration cycles adding pump heat, dark cover absorbing solar heat, insufficient cabinet ventilation, high ambient temperatures
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Operational adjustments:
- Reduce filtration time: Shorten filtration cycles in the control settings to reduce pump-generated heat.
- Lower set temperature: Temporarily reduce the set temperature by a few degrees during hot weather.
- Vent cabinet: Ensure the equipment bay door is properly vented and not blocked. In extreme cases, add additional ventilation grills per Marquis guidelines.
- Use cover wisely: Partially open the cover during the hottest part of the day to allow excess heat to escape, ensuring safety barriers are in place.
