Possible Causes
High levels of body oils, lotions, or detergents, low calcium hardness, old water, inadequate sanitizer.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Avoid using the spa until foam and water balance are corrected.
- Test and balance water: Adjust pH, alkalinity, and calcium hardness to Master Spas recommended ranges.
- Use foam reducer: Add a spa-approved defoamer as a temporary measure.
- Shock the spa: Perform a strong shock treatment to oxidize organic contaminants.
- Drain and refill: If foaming persists, drain the spa, clean the shell, replace or deep-clean filters, and refill with fresh water.
