Possible Causes

Blocked filters in Villeroy & Boch filter housing, Stuck heater relay causing continuous heating, Failed temperature sensor reading low, Poor ventilation around spa equipment compartment

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Do not enter the spa when OH is displayed. Turn off power at the breaker and allow water to cool.

  • Remove cover: Take off the Villeroy & Boch spa cover to allow heat to dissipate.
  • Clean filters: Remove and thoroughly clean all filters. Consider soaking in filter cleaner if heavily soiled.
  • Check for continuous heating: After water cools and power is restored, monitor the heater indicator. If the heater remains on even when set temperature is reached, the heater relay may be stuck.
  • Verify circulation: Ensure the circulation pump is running and that there is strong flow from the designated circulation outlet.
  • Ventilation: Confirm that the equipment bay ventilation openings on the Villeroy & Boch cabinet are not blocked by decking or insulation.

If OH recurs frequently, have a technician test the temperature sensor and heater relay and replace as needed.
