Possible Causes
Room temperature too low, Heavily frosted evaporator, Defrost sensor detecting ice, Blocked airflow causing coil icing.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: P1 on many Cecotec dehumidifiers is informational rather than a fault, indicating defrost mode.
Steps:
- Check room temperature: If the room temperature is below the minimum operating temperature, move the unit to a warmer area.
- Allow defrost: Leave the unit plugged in and powered on; it may automatically defrost and resume operation once the coil temperature rises.
- Clean filter and coils: Unplug the unit, remove the filter, and clean it. Vacuum dust from the evaporator to improve airflow and reduce icing.
- Placement: Ensure at least 20–30 cm of clearance around the unit for proper air circulation.
