Possible Causes

Blown internal fuse on main PCB, Faulty power cord, Defective main control PCB power supply section, Tripped household breaker or faulty outlet

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Before opening the unit, unplug it and verify the outlet is not live with a tester. Capacitors on the PCB can hold charge; avoid touching bare solder joints.

  • Check outlet and breaker: Plug a lamp or other device into the same outlet to confirm power. Reset any tripped breakers.
  • Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or kinks. If damaged, replace the Inventor power cord assembly.
  • Access main PCB: Remove the rear or side panel to reach the control board. Locate the small glass or ceramic fuse near the AC input.
  • Test and replace fuse: Use a multimeter to check continuity of the fuse. If blown, replace with the same type and rating. If it blows again immediately, there is a deeper fault (shorted component) and the unit should be serviced professionally.
  • PCB replacement: If the fuse is good but there is still no power, the low-voltage power supply on the PCB may have failed. Replace the main control PCB.
