Possible Causes
Mineral buildup on ultrasonic transducer, Dirty water chamber and outlet path, Partially blocked mist outlet duct, Low supply voltage from failing power adapter or PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and remove the tank.
Steps:
- Deep clean transducer: Fill the base water chamber with a 1:1 mixture of white vinegar and water to cover the transducer. Let soak for 20–30 minutes. Gently wipe the disc with a soft cloth or cotton swab, then rinse thoroughly.
- Clean mist outlet: Use a soft brush or pipe cleaner to remove dust and mineral deposits from the mist outlet and internal ducting.
- Use distilled water: Switch to distilled or demineralized water to prevent rapid re‑scaling.
- Check power adapter: For models with external adapters, verify the adapter outputs the correct voltage using a multimeter. Replace if low.
- Replace transducer: If mist remains weak after cleaning and power checks, replace the ultrasonic transducer assembly.
