Possible Causes

Room temperature below operating range, ambient temperature sensor reading too low, unit placed in an unheated space, sensor out of position near a cold draft.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Note: LO is typically an informational code indicating the room is too cold for normal operation.

  • Measure room temperature: If below ~41–50°F (5–10°C), move the unit to a warmer area.
  • Relocate away from cold sources: Do not place the unit directly on a cold floor or near open windows.
  • Check ambient sensor placement: If accessible, ensure the ambient sensor is located in the air intake path, not touching cold metal surfaces.
  • If LO appears in a warm room: Test and replace the ambient temperature sensor as described under E1.
