Possible Causes
Stuck float in the base, Faulty water level sensor, Misaligned tank not activating the valve, Scale buildup on the sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before inspection.
Steps:
- Check tank seating: Ensure the tank is correctly positioned so the valve opens and water flows into the base.
- Clean float and sensor: In the base, locate the float or electronic water level sensor. Clean off any scale or slime with mild detergent or vinegar.
- Test float movement: Make sure the float moves freely up and down. If waterlogged or damaged, replace the float / water level sensor assembly.
- Sensor replacement: If the sensor still reports empty with water present, replace the sensor or the humidifier main PCB depending on the design.
