How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the humidifier before opening the housing.
Steps:
- Reset: Unplug for 15–20 minutes, then plug back in and try again.
- Inspect for moisture: Remove the control panel cover and look for signs of water ingress, corrosion, or residue on the PCB.
- Drying: If moisture is present, allow the unit to dry completely in a warm, dry room for 24 hours (unplugged). Do not use a hair dryer directly on the electronics.
- Check harnesses: Ensure all low-voltage connectors between sensors and the control board are fully seated.
- Board replacement: If F4 persists and there is visible corrosion or damage, replace the main control board with a Sunbeam-compatible part. This typically involves transferring all connectors one by one to the new board.
