How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power before removing the control panel. Glass and sharp plastic edges may be present; handle with care.
Steps:
- Power reset: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then restore power to see if the UI recovers.
- Inspect control panel: Remove screws securing the front control panel. Gently pull it forward to access the ribbon cable and connectors.
- Check for moisture: Look for condensation or water behind the panel. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry before reassembly.
- Reseat ribbon cable: Disconnect and reconnect the flat ribbon cable between the UI and main control board, ensuring it is fully inserted and locked.
- Replace user interface board: If buttons or the display remain unresponsive, install a new Café user interface/control panel assembly.
- Reassemble and test: Restore power and verify that all buttons and indicators function and that E14 is cleared.
