Possible Causes
Unit not leveled, Loose mounting screws, Compressor vibration transmitted to the cabinet, Uneven flooring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before adjusting leveling legs or mounting hardware.
- Step 1 – Level the cabinet: Use a bubble level on top of the ice maker. Adjust the front and rear leveling legs until the unit is level side-to-side and front-to-back.
- Step 2 – Tighten mounting brackets: For built-in GE Profile models, check that side and top mounting brackets are secure to the cabinetry.
- Step 3 – Add vibration pads: Place anti-vibration pads under the leveling legs if the floor is resonant or uneven.
- Step 4 – Inspect internal components: Ensure the compressor and condenser fan are securely mounted and that no tubing is contacting the cabinet walls.
