Reduced Cooling Capacity / Partial Blockage
Ice maker produces ice very slowly; cycles are much longer than normal and ice cubes are small or hollow.

Possible Causes
Dirty condenser coil reducing heat dissipation, Weak compressor, Partial refrigerant loss, High ambient temperature or poor ventilation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before cleaning or moving it.
- 1. Improve ventilation: Ensure at least 10–15 cm clearance on all sides and that the unit is not enclosed in a cabinet.
- 2. Clean condenser: Remove dust and lint from the condenser coil and fan using a brush and vacuum.
- 3. Check room temperature: Move the ice maker to a cooler room if ambient temperature exceeds the specified range.
- 4. Descale evaporator: Mineral buildup on the evaporator can insulate it. Run a descaling/cleaning cycle with vinegar or approved descaler and wipe the evaporator surface.
- 5. Monitor performance: If performance remains poor after cleaning and ventilation improvements, the compressor or refrigerant charge may be compromised and require professional diagnosis.
Warning: Do not bend or scratch the evaporator surface; it is thin and can be punctured.
