Ice appears cloudy or white instead of clear.

Safety: No special electrical safety precautions are required beyond normal ones; unplug the unit if accessing internal parts.

• Improve filtration: Install or replace a high-quality water filter compatible with your Hotpoint appliance to reduce mineral content.
• Use different water source: If possible, connect the unit to a water supply with lower mineral content.
• Check fill stream: Ensure the fill tube directs water smoothly into the reservoir to minimize the introduction of air bubbles.

Note that some cloudiness is normal and does not indicate a functional defect.
