Low Water Float or Level Sensor Misread
CLEAN
The “CLEAN” indicator stays on or flashes; the unit may beep and stop ice production until cleaning is performed.
Scheduled Cleaning Reminder / Scale Detection
E1
Insignia countertop ice maker will not power on; the display shows E1 shortly after plugging in or pressing Power.
Main Power Supply or Control Board Fault
E2
Insignia ice maker stops mid-cycle and displays E2; no ice is produced.
Water Level Sensor or Float Switch Fault
E3
The display shows E3, and the ice maker stops, often during the freezing stage.
Temperature Sensor (Thermistor) Fault
E4
The Insignia ice maker beeps and shows E4; the ice tray may be stuck in one position and not dump ice.
Ice Tray Position Sensor or Motor Fault
E5
The display shows E5, and the unit stops making ice; the compressor may not start.
Compressor Start or Overload Protection Fault
E6
The Insignia ice maker shows E6 and stops; the fan may not run or runs erratically.
Condenser Fan Motor or Fan Feedback Fault
E7
The display shows E7; the ice maker may overfill or underfill with water, or stop shortly after starting.
Water Pump or Flow Detection Fault
E8
The Insignia ice maker shows E8 and stops; this often occurs when the ice bin is full or the sensor is blocked.
Ice Bin Full Sensor Fault
E9
The display shows E9; the unit may run briefly then shut down with no ice production.
General System Protection or Overtemperature Fault
ICE FULL
The display shows “ICE FULL” or the full indicator light stays on even when the bin is empty; the unit will not make ice.
False Ice Bin Full Detection
Symptom
A clicking sound comes from the back; the compressor tries to start but shuts off repeatedly, and no ice is produced.
Compressor Hard Start or Overload Cycling
Symptom
Display works but some buttons do not respond or require very hard pressing.
Worn or Contaminated Keypad
