Condensation or frost forming on the outside of the ice maker cabinet or around the door

Safety first: Unplug the unit before gasket replacement.

• Check gasket seal: Close the door on a sheet of paper and pull; if it slides out easily, the seal is weak in that area.
• Clean gasket: Remove dirt and residue from the gasket and mating surfaces.
• Adjust door: Tighten hinges and adjust if the door is sagging.
• Replace gasket: Install a new OEM Maytag door gasket if the old one is cracked or deformed.
• Control humidity: Use a dehumidifier in very humid rooms to reduce condensation.
