Ice has a bad taste or odor.

Safety: Unplug the unit and shut off water before cleaning.

• Discard old ice: Empty the ice bin completely.
• Clean reservoir and bin: Wash with warm water and mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly. Follow with a food-safe sanitizer or manufacturer-approved cleaner.
• Run cleaning cycle: Use a descaling/cleaning solution recommended by Midea to flush the internal water circuit, then run several rinse cycles.
• Check water source: If tap water has strong odors, consider using a filtered supply line.
• Regular maintenance: Clean the unit at least every 1–3 months depending on usage and water hardness.
