Possible Causes
Failed low-voltage section of the power module, Loose low-voltage harness to the control board, Shorted user interface board, Corroded connector at the control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect mains power before opening any panels.
- Check for partial power: Confirm that cabinet lights and main freezer functions operate. If only the ice maker section is dead, suspect a low-voltage supply issue.
- Inspect low-voltage harness: Access the control compartment and locate the harness from the power module to the ice maker control board. Reseat all connectors.
- Look for corrosion: Check for green/white corrosion or moisture on connectors. Clean lightly with electrical contact cleaner and allow to dry fully.
- Isolate UI board: If possible, disconnect the user interface board ribbon cable and reconnect power briefly. If the power module now stays on without error, the UI board may be shorted and require replacement.
- Replace module if needed: If F02 persists with all harnesses checked, the low-voltage section of the power module is likely defective and should be replaced as a complete assembly.
Note: Do not attempt component-level repair on Miele power modules unless you are an electronics professional; replacement of the entire module is the recommended procedure.
