Ice maker displays F20, with loud clicking or buzzing from the compressor area, and no ice production.

Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the compressor compartment. Work on the refrigerant system must be performed by a certified technician.

• Listen to compressor: Restore power and listen. Repeated clicking every few seconds suggests a start relay issue; a humming followed by a click-off suggests a locked compressor.
• Inspect wiring: With power off, remove the compressor terminal cover. Check that all spade connectors are tight and not burnt.
• Check start device: Remove the start relay/PTC and shake it gently. If it rattles or shows burn marks, replace it with the correct Miele part.
• Inverter models: If your unit uses an inverter board, inspect it for visible damage or burnt components. Ensure the DC supply and control harness are firmly connected.
• If F20 persists: A locked compressor or failed inverter is likely. Do not attempt to open the sealed system; contact a Miele-authorized service provider.
