Ice maker does not fill with water but water dispenser works normally.

Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator and shut off water before disconnecting lines.

Steps:

• Check fill tube: Inspect the fill tube above the ice maker for ice blockage. Thaw gently with a hair dryer on low.
• Inspect water line connection: At the rear, verify the small water line feeding the ice maker is connected securely to the inlet valve and not kinked.
• Test inlet valve (advanced): Using a multimeter, check resistance of the ice maker valve coil. If open or out of spec, replace the dual water inlet valve.
• Run ice maker test: Press the Test button. If the tray cycles but no water enters and the valve is good, the ice maker control may be faulty and the assembly should be replaced.
