Possible Causes

Open or shorted cavity thermistor, Loose thermistor connector on PCB, Damaged thermistor wiring harness, Faulty control PCB temperature input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the microwave before servicing.

  • Locate the cavity sensor: On many Bush microwaves, a thermistor or thermostat is mounted on the top or side of the cavity or behind the rear wall.
  • Inspect wiring: Check the harness from the sensor to the control board for pinched, burnt, or broken wires. Reseat the connector at both ends.
  • Test the sensor: Disconnect the thermistor and measure its resistance at room temperature. Compare with the specification in the Bush service data (commonly in the tens of kΩ). A reading of 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a faulty sensor.
  • Replace faulty sensor: Remove mounting screws or clips and fit a new cavity temperature sensor of the correct type for your model.
  • Control board check: If a known-good sensor still results in E07, the control PCB’s sensor circuit may be defective and require replacement.
