Microwave makes grinding or scraping noise when turntable rotates

Safety: Unplug the microwave before cleaning inside.

• Remove and clean: Take out the glass tray and roller ring. Clean the ring, tray, and cavity floor thoroughly to remove crumbs and spills.
• Inspect roller ring: Look for flat spots, cracks, or missing wheels. Replace if damaged.
• Check coupler: Ensure the coupler is not rubbing against the cavity floor and is properly seated.
• Test operation: Reinstall components and run a short cycle. If grinding persists, the turntable motor or shaft may be worn and should be replaced.
