• Check door closure: Ensure the door closes firmly and evenly. Listen for distinct clicks from the door switches when opening and closing.
• Inspect latch and hooks: Remove the control panel to access the door latch assembly. Check for cracked plastic latch arms or misaligned hooks.
• Door switch test (basic): With power disconnected, gently press each door switch actuator. They should click crisply and not feel loose or sticky.
• Replace faulty parts: If any switch is physically damaged or the latch bracket is cracked, replace the affected door switch(es) and/or latch bracket with KitchenAid-specified parts.
• Reassemble and test: After reassembly, test door operation and confirm the F5E0 code is cleared.
