Microwave beeps and shows E2; oven light and turntable may work but no heating.

Safety first: Disconnect power. Internal components can retain high voltage. Do not work near the high-voltage capacitor or magnetron unless you are trained.

• Step 1 – Power reset: Unplug the microwave for 10–15 minutes to allow the control board to reset. Plug back in and test. If E2 returns immediately, continue.
• Step 2 – Check ventilation: Ensure the microwave vents are not blocked and that the unit has the clearance specified in the OBH Nordica manual. Overheating can trip the thermal cut-out.
• Step 3 – Inspect cavity thermostat / sensor: Remove the outer cover. Locate the cavity thermostat or NTC sensor mounted on the top or side of the cooking cavity. Check for obvious damage, discoloration, or loose connectors. Reseat connectors.
• Step 4 – Test continuity (for thermostats): With a multimeter, test the thermostat for continuity at room temperature. An open thermostat that should be closed indicates it has tripped or failed and must be replaced.
• Step 5 – Replace faulty sensor: If the NTC sensor is cracked, burnt, or tests out of specification (resistance far from the service manual value), replace it with an OBH Nordica-compatible temperature sensor.
• Note: If the sensor and thermostat test good, the fault may be on the control PCB. Professional diagnosis is recommended.
