Possible Causes
Partially failed grill element, Weak convection heater, Faulty cavity temperature sensor, Convection fan not running at full speed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave and allow heaters to cool before inspection.
- Step 1 – Preheat check: Use an oven thermometer to verify actual temperature vs. set temperature in convection mode.
- Step 2 – Visual inspection: Observe the grill element during operation (through the door). It should glow evenly. Dark sections may indicate a failing element.
- Step 3 – Check convection fan: Ensure the fan runs strongly and circulates air. A slow or non-spinning fan will reduce heating performance.
- Step 4 – Test elements and sensor: With power off, test grill and convection elements for correct resistance and check the cavity temperature sensor for proper values (per service data).
- Step 5 – Replace faulty parts: Install new OBH Nordica-compatible grill elements, convection heaters, or sensors as required.
