OK
Partial Keypad / Membrane Failure
The microwave display works, but the START button does not respond; other buttons may work.

Possible Causes
Worn START key contact on the membrane keypad, Cracked keypad ribbon cable, Corroded keypad connector on the control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before accessing the control panel.
- 1. Try an alternate start method: Some OK models allow starting by pressing a quick-start time button (e.g., 30s). If that works, the START key itself is faulty.
- 2. Clean the keypad surface: Wipe with a mild cleaner and dry. Sticky residue can sometimes affect key response.
- 3. Reseat the keypad ribbon: Remove the control panel and carefully unplug and replug the keypad ribbon cable.
- 4. Inspect the ribbon: Look for cracks or worn traces near the bend points. If damaged, replace the keypad assembly.
- 5. If multiple keys fail: Replace the entire membrane keypad or control panel fascia.
