Possible Causes
Turntable not rotating properly, Damaged stirrer fan (if fitted), Incorrect loading or oversized dishes, Low magnetron output
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before inspecting internal parts.
- Step 1 – Check turntable operation: Ensure the tray rotates smoothly and continuously. Fix any turntable issues (motor, roller ring, coupler).
- Step 2 – Use appropriate cookware: Use round, microwave-safe dishes and avoid very large or square containers that block rotation of food.
- Step 3 – Stir and stand: For thicker foods, pause halfway to stir and allow standing time after cooking to equalize temperature.
- Step 4 – Inspect stirrer (if present): Some Severin models have a stirrer fan behind a cover in the cavity ceiling. If the cover is warped or the fan is jammed, heating will be uneven. Have a technician inspect and replace the stirrer assembly if needed.
