Microwave beeps and displays E06, often immediately after pressing Start.

Safety warning: Do not attempt to bypass door switches or operate the microwave with the door open. This is extremely dangerous.

Steps to try:

• 1. Inspect door latching: Open and close the door firmly yet gently. Listen for distinct clicks from the latching mechanism. If the door feels loose or does not click into place, the latch may be damaged.
• 2. Check for obstructions: Remove any food debris, foil, or packaging caught in the door frame area or latch openings.
• 3. Visual check: Examine the plastic latch hooks on the door edge. If they appear cracked, bent, or shorter than normal, they may not properly engage the internal switches.
• 4. Test operation: After cleaning and checking, try a short heating cycle. If E06 reappears, the door switch or latch assembly likely requires replacement.
• 5. Technician-level: Remove the outer cover (after disconnecting power and safely discharging the capacitor) and test the door sensing switch with a multimeter. Replace the door latch assembly or switch as necessary.

Do not force the door or tape it closed; doing so can damage the cabinet and compromise safety.
