How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
- Step 1 – Power reset: Unplug or switch off the breaker for 5–10 minutes, then restore power.
- Step 2 – Inspect control panel: Remove the trim and control panel. Check the ribbon cable between the display board and main control for secure seating and no visible damage.
- Step 3 – Dry moisture: If condensation or cleaning fluid has entered the panel, allow it to dry thoroughly before reassembly.
- Step 4 – Replace UI board: If E16 persists and connections are good, replace the display/user interface board with a Thermador OEM part.
Note: Avoid spraying cleaners directly on the display; use a damp cloth instead.
