Possible Causes
Insufficient liquid in inner pot, Inner pot not installed, Severely scorched food on heating plate, Stuck or misreading bottom NTC sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely. Do not add cold water to a very hot pot to avoid warping.
- Check contents: Open the lid (once safe) and verify there is enough liquid. For pressure cooking, Ambiano multicookers typically require at least 1.5–2 cups of liquid.
- Clean heating surface: Remove the inner pot and inspect the heating plate. Gently scrape off any burnt-on food with a plastic scraper, then wipe with a damp cloth.
- Inspect inner pot base: Ensure the bottom of the pot is clean, flat, and free of heavy carbon buildup that can cause hot spots.
- Sensor check: If E8 occurs even with adequate liquid and clean surfaces, inspect the bottom NTC sensor for proper contact with the heating plate and replace it if it appears damaged or loose.
- Usage adjustment: Avoid using high-heat sauté for extended periods without stirring or adding liquid, as this can trigger dry-boil protection.
