Multicooker heats but never reaches pressure; steam constantly escapes from the lid during a pressure program.

Safety first: Keep hands and face away from escaping steam. Allow the cooker to cool and depressurize before opening.

• Inspect lid gasket: Remove the large silicone gasket from the lid. Check for cracks, flattening, or food residue. Clean with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry. Replace if deformed.
• Clean sealing surfaces: Wipe the rim of the inner pot and the metal ring inside the lid to remove food or oil.
• Check steam release valve: Ensure the valve is set to the Sealed position for pressure cooking. Remove and clean it if it is stuck or clogged.
• Float valve: Clean around the float valve and its silicone cap. Make sure it moves freely and seats properly.
