Safety first: Unplug and allow to cool before inspecting internal parts.
- Check inner pot: Use only the original Bosch inner pot. Deformed or non-original pots may not transfer heat correctly.
- Clean contact surfaces: Ensure the bottom of the pot and the heating plate are clean and dry. Remove any warped or burnt-on residue.
- Test different modes: Compare performance in rice, soup, and frying modes. If all are weak, suspect heater or control issues.
- Advanced testing: With the base open, check heater connections and measure heater resistance against Bosch specifications. Replace the heating element if out of range.
- Board diagnosis: If the heater is good, the control board's power device (relay/triac) may be failing and the board should be replaced.
