Steam leaks continuously from the steam release valve even when set to Sealing.

Safety first: Turn off and unplug the cooker. Allow pressure to drop naturally before removing the valve.

• 1. Remove valve: Lift or unscrew the steam release valve from the lid (depending on model).
• 2. Clean thoroughly: Soak the valve in warm soapy water and use a small brush to remove residue from the internal passages and seat.
• 3. Inspect gasket and stem: Check the underside gasket or O-ring for cracks or flattening. Ensure the stem is straight and moves freely.
• 4. Replace if worn: Install a new Chefman-compatible steam release valve or gasket if any damage is found.
• 5. Re-test: Reinstall the valve, set to Sealing, and run a water-only pressure test to confirm proper sealing.
