Possible Causes
Worn or stretched silicone lid gasket, Food debris on lid sealing surface, Warped inner pot rim, Misaligned lid
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep hands and face away from escaping steam. Turn off and unplug the cooker before cleaning.
- Inspect gasket: Remove the silicone lid gasket and check for cracks, flattening, or hardening. Replace if any damage is found.
- Clean sealing surfaces: Wipe the underside of the lid and the top rim of the cooker body with a damp cloth to remove food residue.
- Check inner pot: Ensure the inner pot rim is not bent or warped. Replace the pot if the rim is damaged.
- Reinstall gasket correctly: Make sure the gasket is fully seated in its groove with no twists.
If steam still leaks heavily after replacing the gasket, the lid assembly may be warped and require replacement.
