Possible Causes
Bent lid hinge, Warped lid from overheating, Loose hinge screws, Damaged lid body seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not touch escaping steam. Allow the cooker to cool and depressurize fully.
- Visual inspection: Open the lid and check if it sits evenly on the body. Look for gaps along the gasket area.
- Tighten hinge screws: With the unit unplugged, gently tighten the hinge mounting screws to remove play.
- Check for warping: Place a straight edge across the lid sealing surface. If there is a visible bow, the lid may be warped and require replacement.
When to call a technician: Hinge or lid replacement should be done by a service center to ensure proper alignment and safety.
