Possible Causes
Rapid cooling creating a vacuum, Starch or sugar acting as an adhesive, Warped inner pot bottom, Residue on the heating plate
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not pry aggressively with metal tools; you can damage the heating plate or sensor.
- 1. Allow cooling: Let the cooker cool completely. As temperatures equalize, the pot may release on its own.
- 2. Gentle rotation: With the unit unplugged, gently twist the inner pot side to side to break any adhesion.
- 3. Check for residue: Once removed, clean the outside bottom of the pot and the heating plate thoroughly.
- 4. Inspect for warping: Replace the inner pot if the bottom is no longer flat.
- 5. If pot repeatedly sticks: The heating plate or sensor may be deformed. Have a technician inspect the base assembly.
