Buttons are unresponsive or require very hard pressing to register.

Safety first: Unplug the appliance before disassembling the control panel.

• Surface cleaning: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry thoroughly.
• Internal cleaning: Remove the control panel and clean the underside of the buttons and PCB with isopropyl alcohol to remove any grease or residue.
• Check connector: Reseat the keypad ribbon cable connector.
• Replace keypad: If certain buttons still fail, replace the keypad membrane or the entire control panel.
