AEG
Reduced Heating Performance
The oven heats but does not reach the set temperature or takes excessively long to preheat.

Possible Causes
Partially failed heating element (hairline crack), faulty temperature sensor, heat loss due to a damaged door seal, incorrect temperature calibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the power before testing components.
- Check with an oven thermometer: Place a thermometer in the centre of the cavity and compare the actual temperature to the setpoint. Large discrepancies indicate a control or sensor issue.
- Inspect door seal: Look for gaps, tears, or flattened sections in the gasket. Replace if it is not sealing evenly all around.
- Element inspection: Look for hot spots or an uneven glow on elements (visible through vents or during grill use). Replace any element that glows unevenly or shows cracks.
- Sensor test: Measure the NTC sensor resistance and replace if it is out of spec.
Warning: Poor sealing can overheat the control panel and surrounding cabinetry. Do not ignore a damaged gasket.
