Possible Causes
Broken temperature sensor probe, Disconnected sensor harness, Corroded sensor connector at the control board, Damaged wiring between the sensor and the PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing the rear of the oven or control panel.
- Access the sensor connector: Remove the rear cover of the oven. Locate the two-wire harness connecting the oven cavity sensor to the main control board.
- Test sensor continuity: Disconnect the sensor from the harness and measure resistance across the sensor leads. If the meter reads OL (open circuit), the sensor is defective and must be replaced.
- Check harness and connectors: If the sensor tests good, inspect the harness for cuts, burns, or pulled-out pins. Reseat the connector at the control board, and check for corrosion or bent pins.
- Replace the sensor: Remove the sensor mounting screw from inside the oven cavity, gently pull the sensor and its harness through, swap it with a new Bertazzoni-compatible sensor, and reconnect it at the rear.
