Possible Causes

Grease buildup on elements or cavity surfaces, food spillage on the bottom panel, foil touching heating elements, or a faulty thermostat causing overheating.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: If heavy smoke appears, switch off the oven and ventilate the room. Allow it to cool before cleaning.

Steps:

  • Inspect the interior for heavy grease or food residues on the elements, walls, and bottom. Clean thoroughly with appropriate oven cleaner (avoid spraying directly on elements or the sensor).
  • Ensure no aluminum foil or baking paper is touching the heating elements or blocking vents.
  • If the smell persists and the oven appears too hot, test the thermostat/NTC sensor and replace if faulty.
