Possible Causes

Protective oils on elements, residues on cavity surfaces, or packaging materials left inside

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure good ventilation (open windows, use an extractor fan) during initial burn-in.

  • Remove all packaging: Remove all plastic films, cardboard spacers, and manuals from inside the oven and around the door.
  • Clean surfaces: Wipe the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry it thoroughly.
  • Burn-in cycle: Run the empty oven at 200–220°C for 45–60 minutes, then allow it to cool. Repeat once if the smell persists.
  • Monitor: A mild odor is normal for the first few uses. If the smell is very strong or persists after several cycles, inspect for hidden packaging or contact support.
