Possible Causes
Blown oven bulb, corroded lamp contacts, faulty lamp switch, or relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off the power before changing the lamp. The lamp area may be hot.
- Replace bulb: Remove the glass cover over the lamp inside the oven. Unscrew the old bulb and install a new high-temperature oven bulb of the same type and wattage.
- Check contacts: Inspect the lamp holder for corrosion or burning. Clean the contacts gently or replace the holder if damaged.
- Test door switch (if fitted): Some models use a door switch to control the light. Check that the switch actuator moves freely and test its continuity. Replace if faulty.
- Restore power and test: Turn the power back on and open the door or press the light button to confirm operation.
