Possible Causes
Disconnected NTC sensor plug, broken sensor wiring harness, failed NTC sensor (open), corroded connector on main PCB.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before removing any covers.
- Check sensor connection: Remove the oven from the cabinet if built-in. Access the rear panel and locate the temperature sensor wiring. Ensure the connector is fully seated on both the sensor and the main PCB.
- Continuity test: Disconnect the sensor from the PCB and measure resistance across the sensor leads. An OL reading indicates an open sensor that must be replaced.
- Harness inspection: If the sensor tests good, check continuity from the sensor connector to the PCB connector through the harness. Repair or replace the harness if any conductor is open.
- Clean connectors: Lightly clean any oxidized contacts with electrical contact cleaner and reseat them firmly.
- Reassemble and test: After replacing the sensor or repairing wiring, clear the error by disconnecting power for 1–2 minutes, then restore power and test a heating cycle.
