Possible Causes

Burn‑off of manufacturing oils, curing of insulation and coatings, residues on heating elements

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure good ventilation; open windows and run an extractor fan.

  • Initial burn‑in: Remove all packaging and accessories. Heat the empty oven to about 250°C for 30–60 minutes, then allow it to cool. Repeat once if necessary.
  • Clean surfaces: After cooling, wipe the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry thoroughly.
  • Monitor: The smell should diminish significantly after a few cycles. If it persists or smells like burning plastic from a specific area, disconnect the power and inspect for misplaced packaging or wiring touching hot parts.
