Possible Causes

Failed convection (tangential) fan motor, Seized fan bearings, Obstruction in the fan blades, Faulty fan relay on the control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Isolate the oven from the mains and allow it to cool.

  • Check fan operation: In normal use, you should hear the Falcon convection fan motor running in fan-assisted modes. If silent, proceed with inspection.
  • Access the fan: Remove the rear internal panel of the oven cavity to expose the fan blade. Check for loose screws, warped blades, or debris obstructing rotation. Remove any obstruction.
  • Test fan motor: From the rear of the appliance, access the fan motor terminals. Measure resistance; an open circuit indicates a failed motor. Replace the Falcon fan oven motor if faulty or noisy when spun by hand.
  • Inspect wiring and relay: Check the harness from the control PCB to the fan. If wiring is intact and the motor is good, the fan relay on the control board may have failed, requiring PCB repair or replacement.
