Possible Causes
Shorted oven temperature sensor, Sensor wiring shorted to chassis, Melted harness insulation, Failed EOC sensor circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power at the breaker.
- Inspect the sensor and harness: Access the oven sensor and wiring. Look for melted insulation or wires touching metal.
- Measure the sensor resistance: At room temperature, the sensor should be ~1050–1100 Ω. A very low reading indicates a shorted sensor; replace it.
- Check for shorts: With the sensor disconnected, check each sensor lead to chassis ground with a multimeter. There should be no continuity. Repair any shorted wiring.
- Control board: If the sensor and wiring are good, replace the EOC.
