Possible Causes

Open circuit in the oven temperature sensor, Shorted sensor to chassis, Broken sensor harness, Faulty sensor input on the control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing the rear panel or the control area.

  • 1. Power cycle: Turn the breaker off for 2–3 minutes, then turn it back on. If F04 reappears immediately, proceed with hardware checks.
  • 2. Inspect sensor wiring: Remove the rear panel to access the sensor harness. Check for cuts, melted insulation, or connectors that have pulled loose from the control board.
  • 3. Test sensor resistance: Disconnect the sensor from the harness and measure resistance. If the reading is infinite (open) or near 0 Ω (short), replace the sensor with a Fulgor Milano-compatible NTC probe.
  • 4. Check continuity of harness: With the sensor removed, test continuity from the sensor connector to the control board connector. Repair or replace the harness if it is open or shorted to ground.
  • 5. Replace control board if needed: If the sensor and harness are good but F04 persists, the sensor input circuit on the electronic control is likely damaged. Replace the main control module.
