Possible Causes

Heating element shorted to the chassis, Damaged wiring insulation touching metal parts, Moisture inside elements or wiring, Faulty mains filter (EMI suppressor)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping circuit breaker. Disconnect the oven and leave it off until it has been inspected.

Steps to check:

  • With power disconnected, visually inspect all heating elements and wiring for signs of arcing, burns, or crushed insulation.
  • Use a multimeter to check insulation resistance (or at least continuity) between each element terminal and the oven chassis; any continuity indicates a faulty element.
  • Check the mains filter module near the terminal block for cracks or burn marks; replace if it is damaged.
  • Allow the oven to dry for 24 hours if there has been recent steam cleaning or a spillage; moisture can cause temporary leakage.
  • Replace any element or wiring that shows leakage to earth.

Warning: Insulation resistance testing at high voltage should be performed only by qualified technicians.
