How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety warning: Disconnect the oven from mains before removing the control panel.
- 1. Power reset: Turn off the oven at the mains for 5–10 minutes, then restore power to see if the error clears.
- 2. Inspect connections: Remove the control panel and check the ribbon cable and connectors between the display/keyboard and the main PCB. Reseat all connectors firmly.
- 3. Check for moisture or contamination: Look for signs of liquid ingress or grease on the touch panel or PCB. Clean gently with isopropyl alcohol if contamination is present and fully dry before reassembly.
- 4. Replace faulty UI: If specific buttons or the entire keypad remain unresponsive, replace the touch control panel or fascia assembly as specified for your Indesit model.
If the issue persists after UI replacement, the main control board may also need replacement.
