Possible Causes
Failed cooling fan thermostat, Stuck fan relay on EOC, Shorted fan motor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing rear or top panels.
- Allow cool-down: Some Kenmore ovens keep the cooling fan running until the oven cools. If it runs for hours when cold, there is a fault.
- Check fan thermostat (if equipped): Locate the cooling fan thermostat on the oven chassis and test continuity at room temperature. Replace the cooling fan thermostat if stuck closed.
- Inspect control board: If thermostat is good, the fan relay on the EOC may be stuck. Replace the electronic oven control if the fan output is always energized.
