Possible Causes
Damaged or missing meat probe, broken probe socket in cavity wall, faulty probe detection circuit on control board, contaminated probe contacts.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal probe wiring.
User-level checks:
- Ensure the original Liebherr meat probe is used and fully inserted into the probe socket.
- Inspect the probe cable for cuts, kinks, or exposed wires; replace the probe if damaged.
- Clean the probe plug and socket gently with a dry cloth to remove grease or moisture.
Internal checks:
- From the outside, access the back of the probe socket and inspect wiring to the control board.
- Test continuity through the probe and from the socket to the board; repair or replace the socket if open.
- If wiring and the probe are good, the probe input circuit on the control board may be defective.
After replacing the probe or socket, test the meat probe function in a suitable cooking program.
